Chiara obtained her bachelor's degree in Biotechnology for Health and her master's degree in Medical Biotechnology at the University of Naples "Federico II". During her studies, her research experiences focused on molecular neurobiology: she worked on the etiopathogenesis of Multiple Sclerosis at the Division of Physiology of the University of Naples and on the role of microRNAs able to exert neuroprotection in animal models of Stroke at the Department of Neurosciences of "Federico II" University.
After her graduation, Chiara completed a 5-months internship at the Center for Molecular Neurobiology Hamburg (ZMNH) - UKE, where she worked on memory reconsolidation in aged mice at the behavioral and cellular levels.
Chiara is currently pursuing her doctoral studies at the Functional Neuroimaging Laboratory, directed by Dr. Alessandro Gozzi. Her project aims to validate Functional Ultrasound Imaging (fUS) as a tool to map brain-wide neural circuits in the mouse model.
